Belgian & Belgian Style Ales

Belgium is world renown for her long tradition of beer craftsmanship, arguably more so than anywhere else. Belgian beers are akin to French wines, and even the presentation is similar.  Our selection is served in 750 ml bottles (wine bottle size), corked like Champagne, and poured into their own specialty stemware.

To be savored alone or shared with a table…

Val-Dieu (“val-do”) Blonde ~ Abbey ale, a style reserved exclusively to those hand-crafted by monks; crisp & clean,

with an interplay of creamy nutty maltiness, hoppy bitterness, and lemony acidity. (6% ABV) 8.95

Saxo ~ Blonde ale, very complex, with an unusual hoppiness, bitterness that is prolonged and balanced with

notes of fruit and a touch of spice. (8% ABV) 8.95

Maudite (The Damned One) ~ Mahogany colored, rich tasting premium beer that has a distinctive, complex

taste. Perfect with spicy dishes & red meats, it also makes a good aperitif and after dinner drink. (8% ABV) 8.95

La Fin Du Monde (End of the World) ~ Triple fermented, with its champagne-like effervescence, it has a

vigorous mouth presence, which accentuates its strong personality.  Slightly tart, with balanced flavors of wild spices, its belongs to the class similar to Trappist beers & in this regard is a N.American first. (9% ABV)

Corsendonk Brown ~ Abbey (monk brewed) ale, with a chocolaty, earthy tang & very light dried fruit

notes. Rounded out by a moderate hop bitterness in the finish.  (7.5% ABV) 8.95

**Due to a change in distributors we may be out of Chimay on occasion, but we will do our best to replace it with an equally delicious Belgian on tap.
